Unknown Jellyfish

Description and Comments

Fist sized jelly with thick translucent bell and no visible tentacles. Similar to moon jelly, but no quartet of gonads visible from top of bell. Examples of these on the beach that hadn't been beat by the surf for days had red eyespots at edge of bell. [Scrippsia - jw]
