Polyorchis haplus -- Bodega Bay, CA -- 3/24/16

A single hydromedusa of Polyorchis haplus was encountered washed up on Salmon Creek Beach in Bodega Bay, CA, on 24 March 2016. The bell was approximately 1.5 cm long. This followed two days of strong northwest winds. Not much else (gelatinous) on the beach, except for ~50 Velella (1-3 cm long) and a few salps (Iasis?).
