Atlantic Box Jellyfish

Description and Comments

Found two Chiropsalmus in Shem creek tonight. They were laying lifeless on a bundle of seaweed growing off the dock. High tide going out. Jellies look rough, holes and no tentacles. They had their warty stinging spots on the bell though, which is rare in beat up specimens.
